Cherry Turned Bowl (8/14/2006)
I recently acquired a new Powermatic 3520B lathe, so I finally returned to complete a few bowl rough outs that I had started last year. "Utilitarian" is a nice way to say "fairly boring", but I wanted to focus on technique and form for these bowls. So there's not much decoration or flair, but I kinda like unadorned stuff anyway....
This is a cherry bowl about 6.5" in diameter. Finish is buffed danish oil.
