Cherry Natural Edge Turned Bowl (11/19/2006)
My first natural edge bowl. This is a section from a largeish (7" diameter) branch, and I'm not really sure why there's no sapwood under the bark like all the other cherry I've worked. Maybe it's something about the branch, or perhaps it's how long the branch has been sitting around my shop (about 2 years). The techniques aren't all the different with natural edges, but Bill Grumbine's 2nd video helped build confidence to give one a try. I'll be making more for sure!
