Ash Turned Vase (1/16/2007)
This is a vase from an ash branch from a tree that died on my lot from the Emerald Ash Borer. This hunk of wood has been sitting around my shop for several years now, and I've finally decided to try an end grain vase type form . I was concerned the ash would be pale and boring, but it turned out to have a nice pattern of dark highlights. This vase is about 9" tall.
